Marilyn Hiestand -- Candidate for School Board
My motivation to run for school board arises from a firm belief that all children can be successful. There are five characteristics of excellent schools- great leadership, community support, demanding curriculum, a positive environment, and successful students. Successful means not only that our children are responsible learners, but also creative, engaged, and curious. Our hope is that these characteristics will continue for a lifetime. My daughter and her family now live in Dayton. I want the local district to be so good that it will entice them to return to my home town.
